Film
After a botched abortion procedure leaves a fashion model dead, a motorcycle leather & helmet clad killer begins to viciously slash anyone related to the death and career of the deceased woman - mainly the photographers, models & obese pimps of the Albatross modeling agency. Desperate to solve the murders before they become the next targets, womanizer Carlo (Nino Castelnuovo) & bodacious Magda (Edwige Fenech) do their best to get to the bottom of it when they're not too busy having sex.
Many times during my virginal viewing of Andrea Bianchi's Strip Nude For Your Killer I found myself at multiple crossroads of emotion. Mainly hate, love, confusion, boredom & fascination. Basically a full on war was raging in my synapses. The main component that is obviously crystal clear from the get-go is the relentless display of nudity provided by sultry Euro babes that have a great deal of enmity towards flesh covering garments. Literally everyone in this film sheds their clothes whenever possible and engages in copious amounts of sex as if there were a fever going around.
Believe me when I say this is borderline of the sleaziest films I have seen thus far. There's no artistic flair or meaningful purpose, it's really exploitation at it's largest. As much as the naked human body is the represented focal point, a mention has to be made of director Bianchi's undeniable case of misanthropy. Butts are mutilated, chests are sliced and even said obese man succumbs to the killers knife before he can have some fun with his blow up doll. These moments are heinously entertaining, it's just a bummer you have to trudge through the uneventful beats that occupy most of the runtime.
The true saving grace is the queen of Italian gialli Edwige Fenech, who graciously ditches her clothes at every turn. Somehow I've avoided films shes appearead in and it's nice now to be able to pinpoint her instead of shouting, "holy shit who is this Euro goddess?!" at the TV every time her and her assets made an appearance. Strip Nude For Your Killer maybe one of the first whodunit films I've seen where no one involved is worried about whodunit. It exists to showcase human flesh and then take out a knife to carve said  flesh up.

Blue Underground presents Strip Nude For Your Killer onto BD for the first time in a 2.35:1 framed, 1080p transfer that get's more right than it does wrong. There is good reason to be a bit worried when it comes to BU's Euro releases and that won't be put to rest with this disc. The transfer is quite smooth and while grain is present it has no doubt been digitally cleaned up with not so strong black levels. However, detail is in fine form and the films groovy colors truly do look sharp. Those who don't dig BU's other Italian transfers won't be swayed but despite the artificial look it's a nice transfer. Blue Underground's release schedule has been pretty random lately with mostly upgrades instead of newly licensed films but who can complain when Euro trash like this is getting the HD treatment?
  • Audio
Blue Underground has supplied two tracks - an English & Italian DTS-HD 2.0 Mono. This is quite a treat as both mixes offer a somewhat different experience. Characters come off across much differently & the English subtitles do their best to translate more serious tuned dialogue. These are great sounded tracks, which are center speaker heavy as expected and at times bass heavy thanks to the films 70's funk soundtrack.

Bonus Features
  • Featurette - "Strip Nude For Your Giallo"
